My Italian Job Episode 6

In the latest instalment of this Italian food series, host Zack Yusof samples Chef Giovanni Koromilas' traditional Italian cuisines at Sassorosso Italian Restaurant at Lorong Yap Kwan Seng, KL. For this episode, chef Giovanni prepares the beef carpaccio, a classic Italian staple of thinly sliced raw beef tenderloin with an olive oil dressing. Also on the menu is a classic pasta dish with Italian-style jumbo prawns.

If Sassorosso isn’t the best Italian restaurant in KL, it isn’t far off...

Tucked away a bit, the steady stream of lunchtime and evening diners would testify that the food on offer ranks as some of the best anywhere in the city.
The décor is also uncomplicated and stylish, with clean white walls in the quiet indoor area and a more vibrant, happening outdoors, complete with wood-fired kiln oven for their excellent pizzas.
I have a feeling they recently tinkered with some of their recipes as it was while chewing on their Quattro stagioni on my last visit that I thought that it was even cheesier and tastier than usual. The blanched peppers, tender artichokes, turkey ham, and delicious tomato sauce finishing off this fine pie. While this is my favourite, to be fair all the pizzas are excellent. And enormous...

The best Italian restaurant in town

This is by far the best "Italian" restaurant in KL. Great Pizza's which are cooked in an oven outside. Fresh ingredients, try the mixed antipasti which is an assortment of bresola (air dried beef), mozzarella, bruschetta, calimari, octopus, goat cheese, & more. Great starter....

Great Italian restaurant to try in the heart of KL city (practically down the road from KLCC). It’s not like it’s super affordable but I felt it was good value for money considering the yummy taste of the nicer dishes.
I’m definitely going back to try out some of the other items on the menu!..

Located in a bungalow, guests can choose to dine either in the hall al fresco within its beautiful garden. Authentic Italian cuisine is served and the signature dish the Bigoli All'Anitra for which a special chef was brought in from Italy to make the pasta in- house.
